Update No. 170
We are excited to welcome everyone back and begin the last six weeks of the school year with continued learning, connection, and celebration across our schools. As we move through April, I’m proud to recognize several groups of exceptional staff members whose work strengthens our district in countless ways.
In honor of National School Library Month, we celebrate our outstanding library/media center specialists and the important role of our district media centers. Our media center staff work extends far beyond managing our media centers. They guide students in navigating information, building digital literacy, exploring new ideas, and discovering the joy of reading. Their collaboration with teachers enriches learning at every grade level, bringing curiosity, creativity, and connection to life in our schools every day.
We also want to give a shoutout to our exceptional administrative professionals. They are the quiet powerhouses who keep our schools running smoothly behind the scenes. They welcome families, support staff, anticipate needs, and help maintain the positive, organized environment that allows teaching and learning to thrive. On Administrative Professionals Day (April 22) and every day, we appreciate their unwavering dedication and the vital role they play in our mission.
National Bus Driver Appreciation Day is right around the corner on April 28. Our bus drivers and transportation aides are a steady, trusted presence who greet our students each morning and ensure they return home safely each afternoon. Their work sets the tone for the school day and reflects a deep commitment to care, safety, and professionalism. We deeply appreciate these champions of safety who make a meaningful difference in our students’ lives every day.
To all of the individuals serving in and/or supporting these roles, thank you for the expertise, contributions, and commitment you bring to Hamilton Heights. You make our district stronger, our students’ days brighter, and our community proud.

Looking ahead, the Hamilton Heights Educational Foundation (HHEF) will host its 37th annual Golf Scramble on Thursday, June 4, at Bear Slide Golf Course in Cicero. The community is invited to enjoy a relaxing day on the green with friends and colleagues while supporting the impactful work of this outstanding organization. All funds raised go directly back into our classrooms through grants that enhance learning across the district. The Foundation’s work touches nearly every student at Heights in some way.
Click here to register as a player or sponsor. We look forward to seeing you on the course.
Thank you for your partnership, participation, and continued commitment to our schools.
