LifeWise Academy in Sheridan will hold a Dinner for a Cause at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, at Sheridan High School in the cafeteria, 24185 Hinesley Road.
The dinner will benefit students attending LifeWise Sheridan, and will take place before the Blackhawks’ last home boys varsity game versus Traders Point. This event is open to the public and will provide information for parents interested in enrolling their children while also raising funds to support students attending LifeWise Academy at Sheridan Elementary and Middle school this year.
“We are excited to offer Bible-based character education to participating students in fifth and sixth grade and look forward to growing a relationship with Sheridan community members,” LifeWise Academy Sheridan Director Elisabeth Kennedy said.
To attend Dinner for a Cause on Feb. 26 you may purchase tickets for $15 each at this link or by emailing sheridanin@lifewise.org. Charleston’s Restaurant of Carmel has committed to donating the meal and will give each ticket holder a $10 gift card to the restaurant. The Sheridan Dairy Queen is donating desserts as well.
There will be a silent auction with valuable items which have been donated by generous local businesses and attractions. The bidding will conclude at the buzzer starting the third period of the basketball game. Thanks to Conner Prairie, The Indianapolis Zoo, and many other participants that make these baskets appealing for all. Note: You do not need to be present to win.
LifeWise lessons teach the Bible chronologically. Each lesson connects a Bible passage to a relevant character trait in which students learn how to apply the teachings to life outside of the classroom.
LifeWise Academy, based in Hilliard, Ohio, is a released-time religious instruction program providing Bible-based character education to public school students. With parent permission, students are released from school for one hour per week to attend off-campus classes.
