The Humane Society for Hamilton County (HSHC) and Steve Cage announce the 5th annual Furry Fracas to be held Jan. 29 to Feb. 1 at The Picklr, 9847 Cumberladn Pointe Blvd., Noblesville.
Cage contributed $4 million to the shelter’s new facility campaign, which was pivotal in building the state-of-the-art shelter named The Steven J. Cage Foundation Animal Wellness Center, located in Fishers. His support did not end there, as he has continued to help fund annual operating costs through his love of pickleball.
So was born the Furry Fracas, which is now one of many tournaments in The Victory Pickleball Series, a national, amateur-only pickleball tour that creates unforgettable experiences for players of every level, all while supporting thousands of people and pets in need.
With an average of around 450 players per tournament, The Victory Pickleball Series has provided over 45,000 meals to feed the hungry and over $100,000 in support of shelter pets.
“Five years ago, the founder of the Furry Fracas had one simple vision in mind: create critical awareness and financial support for the Humane Society for Hamilton County,” said Kevin Huff, President of the Victory Pickleball Series. “In five short years, we’ve grown the Furry Fracas into one of the top two tournaments in the state of Indiana.”
In 2025, supporters of Furry Fracas raised over $30,000 in just three days to support the life-saving efforts for hundreds of animals at HSHC. This year, Cage has teamed up with Furry Fracas title sponsor Tom Wood Porsche to raise more funds than ever before – because the need is greater than ever before.
“With an expected attendance of over 700 participants, volunteers, vendors, and fans of the sport, Steve and his incredible team will host the most spectacular Furry Fracas yet,” HSHC President and CEO Rebecca Stevens said. “We are so grateful that Steve’s love of shelter animals and pickleball collided in such a meaningful way that supports not just HSHC, but also pets and people in every community their tournaments visit.”
Furry Fracas will welcome players of all ages and skill levels to The Picklr facility in Noblesville to compete on 19 indoor courts over the span of four days: Thursday, Jan. 29 to Sunday, Feb. 1. Click here to register.
