Hamilton County’s two governing bodies have elected new leadership as part of their annual organizational meetings, marking a “changing of the guard” for both the County Council and Board of Commissioners.
Christine Altman has been elected President of the Hamilton County Commissioners, replacing Steve Dillinger. Mark Heirbrandt will serve as Vice President.
“It’s an honor to step into this role,” Altman said. “I’m excited to work alongside my fellow commissioners to guide the county forward in a thoughtful and strategic way.”
Brad Beaver has been elected President of the Hamilton County Council, succeeding Sue Maki. Steve Nation will serve as Vice President. Beaver was first elected to the Council in 1994 and currently represents the county as an At-Large member.
“I’m grateful for the confidence my colleagues have placed in me,” Beaver said. “The Council has a strong track record of responsible stewardship, and I look forward to continuing that work on behalf of Hamilton County taxpayers.”
The election of officers is an annual practice held at the first meeting of each year for both the County Council and the Board of Commissioners.
