Tipton County invites residents, stakeholders, and interested members of the public to attend a public presentation of the Draft Comprehensive Plan, scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15 at the Tipton County Foundation Building, 1020 W. Jefferson St.
The presentation will be offered in-person and online and will include an opportunity for questions and feedback.
Information about the meeting, including instructions for accessing the online presentation, and the Draft Plan itself is available at TiptonTomorrow.org. Following the presentation, the online comment session will remain open briefly to allow time for any final comments related to the presentation before it is formally closed.
Attendees who participate in person will also have the opportunity to review informational boards displayed in the lobby and may provide additional written feedback if they choose.
“This presentation is an important opportunity for the community to see how public input has shaped the Draft Comprehensive Plan,” Tipton Plan Commission President Jason Henderson said. “While this meeting is informal, the feedback we receive will help ensure the plan reflects the community’s priorities and vision for Tipton County’s future.”
Planning Director Judy Coker emphasized the role of public participation in the planning process.
“Community engagement is essential to creating a strong and effective comprehensive plan,” Coker said. “We encourage residents to review the draft document online, attend the presentation in person, and share their thoughts so we can make any necessary adjustments before moving into the formal hearing phase.”
This event is an informal presentation of the Draft Comprehensive Plan. The formal public hearing on the plan will take place before the Plan Commission later in the year, following this initial review period.
Members of the public may submit questions or comments by email to tiptonfeedback@hwcengineering.com. The Draft Comprehensive Plan is available for review online at TiptonTomorrow.org.
