The Westfield boys basketball team cruised past Richmond 63-33 in a Saturday, Dec. 27 home game at CSI Gymnasium.
The Shamrocks outscored the Red Devils in each of the four quarters, starting with a 19-11 advantage after the first period. Brock Detamore led the way with eight points, including two 3-pointers. Drew Haffner scored five, draining one triple.
Detamore took over the game in the second quarter, throwing in four 3s. That was part of a 21-point outburst from Westfield, which led 40-21 at halftime. The Rocks moved ahead 52-26 after three quarters, then scored another 11 in the fourth, including eight points from Graham Wilson, who finished the game with 21 points.
Detamore was the leading scorer with 22 points, totaling six 3-pointers.
Westfield is 4-3 and plays another home game this Saturday against Marion.
