123 employees celebrate 1,990 combined years of employment
Hamilton County is celebrating 123 employees for their service to the community. Each year the Board of Commissioners and Human Resources Department recognize and honor employees for milestone work anniversaries by presenting service awards at the end of each five years of employment.
Each recipient will be given a service pin with the number of years on it.

“Our goal is to provide the people of Hamilton County with reliable, responsive service and care,” Human Resources Director Sheena Randall said. “Supporting skilled employees and giving them purposeful work is central to delivering on that commitment.”
Lynette Duvall, a caseworker and legal secretary in the Prosecutor’s Office, was the most senior employee recognized this year, marking 45 years of service to Hamilton County. She began her career as a receptionist at just 20 years old.
“It really has been a lifetime,” Duvall said. “I started out using typewriters and carbon paper – things most people wouldn’t even recognize today. But what’s always stayed the same are the people. The great colleagues and phenomenal benefits are what kept me here all these years.”
This year, five employees will celebrate 40 years of service with the County, six will observe 35 years, 11 will mark 30 years, and 14 will observe 25 years. Another 13 employees will be honored for reaching the 20-year milestone, 11 marking 15 years, 24 celebrating 10 years, and 38 reaching five years of employment. The complete list is below.
