Hamilton Heights won two games over the past few days in vastly different ways.
On Saturday, Dec. 6, the Huskies won a close home game over Connersville 50-47. The Spartans led 12-9 after the first quarter and were ahead 27-24 at halftime.
Heights overtook Connersville by the end of the third quarter; Kamryn Rhoton made two free throws with two seconds left in the period to push Heights ahead 38-37. The Huskies never trailed again; Rhoton scored another six points to help Heights clinch the win.
Riley Suarez led the Huskies with 18 points. Bayleigh Eisele scored 17 and Rhoton finished with 12. Rhoton and Suarez both collected nine rebounds.
On Tuesday, Heights traveled to Logansport for its first Hoosier Conference Big School Division game and came home with a 58-11 win.
The Huskies led 36-5 at halftime. Suarez scored 18 points and Addison Blum had 14 points.
Heights is 7-2 and plays Saturday at West Lafayette.
