A one-of-a-kind painting was auctioned off at the Festival of Trees. Everyone present had the opportunity to sit with the artist, learn a little about painting, and add a little something to the work before it was sold. On Saturday, Nov. 22, Good Samaritan Network (GSN) of Hamilton County held its annual Festival of Trees fundraiser at Embassy Suites, 13700 Conference Center Drive South, Noblesville. This year’s Festival of Trees brought in over $100,000, benefiting clients and providing holiday assistance for marginalized and at-risk families in Hamilton County.
It was an elegant evening filled with festive décor, a cocktail reception, and exciting silent and live auctions featuring custom-designed Christmas trees, holiday gifts, and decorations. Guests enjoyed a gourmet dinner and live entertainment from local band Greta Speaks, complete with dancing.
Client assistance provides crucial support to underserved and at-risk families throughout Hamilton County, offering services such as food assistance, housing support, medical support, and holiday outreach, including hot meals on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Eve.
Embracing the warmth of the holiday season, the Festival of Trees showcases community generosity, helping transform lives with compassion, dignity, and joy.
During the live auction, one generous donor who had the winning bid on one of the designer Christmas trees paid for the prize then immediately donated the tree back to Good Samaritan so it could be auctioned off again the same night. That is an excellent example of the level of generosity that sets Hamilton County apart.
The Festival of Trees could not have taken place without the fine sponsors who stepped up, several of whom also bid on and won auction items that night.
