The Westfield Lions’ semi-annual Texas Hold ‘em poker tournament, “Poker for Sight”®, welcomed more than 200 players from around Indiana at the Nov. 14 and 15 event at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds, 2003 Pleasant St., Noblesville.
The Lions paid out $25,100 to the winners and raised well over $25,000, which they will use to fund their numerous projects, grants, and scholarships.
This tournament’s winner, Marcus Ellison, took home the $10,000 check for first place, making him one of the few two-time winners in the tournament’s history. Rounding out the top three were Marlena Evans in second place, collecting a $4,000 check, and David Myers in third place receiving a $2,000 check. Meyers is also a past tournament champion.

The two-day tournament features three qualifying sessions and a championship round on Saturday night. The qualifying sessions took place Friday morning at 10 a.m., Friday evening at 6 p.m., and Saturday morning at 10 a.m. The top 15 percent of each of the players in the qualifying sessions advanced directly to the championship round. (Players only have to qualify in one session to make the championship round.)
The Westfield Lions will hold their next tournament in April 2026. The tournaments are held at the newly remodeled Hamilton County Fairgrounds 4-H Building. For more information on the tournament and how to register for it, go to lionspoker.org.
