Westfield held on to win a road game at Lawrence North 50-46 on Saturday, Nov. 15
The Shamrocks led 10-7 after the first quarter and 23-20 at halftime. MaKayla Hatcher scored eight points for Westfield during the first half. The Wildcats cut the Rocks’ lead to 39-38 after three quarters, but Westfield held on, outscoring LN 11-8 in the fourth. Gabby Bassett scored six points during that quarter.
Four Shamrocks reached double-digit scoring. Bassett and Ellie Wheeler both had 11 points, while Hatcher and Audra Parker each scored 10.
Westfield is 2-2 and plays tonight at Mt. Vernon.
