The Sheridan football team finished its season Friday, Nov. 14 by falling to host South Putnam 26-6 in the Regional 23 championship.
Both teams scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter; the Blackhawks finished the period with Alex Cravens making a six-yard touchdown run. But South Putnam shut out Sheridan in the other quarters, while scoring 13 for a 19-6 halftime lead.
Cravens finished the game with 75 yards rushing to lead the ‘Hawks.
Sheridan completed its season 9-3 and won its fourth consecutive sectional championship.
