The Noblesville Cultural Arts Commission finishes its Vintage Film Series this month with Steamboat Bill Jr. (1928), starring Buster Keaton and Ernest Torrence.
A young man (Keaton) joins up with his rough-and-tumble father (Torrence) to run a steamboat, but he makes a complete mess of things. He redeems himself during a freak windstorm during which he saves the day. This contains the famous shot of Keaton having the house fall on him.
Steamboat Bill Jr. will air at 7:30 p.m. this Saturday, Nov. 8 at Preservation Hall, 1274 Logan St., Noblesville, featuring film historian Eric Grayson and live piano score by Roger Lippincott.
Admission is free, and complimentary popcorn and beverages will be served.
The Noblesville Cultural Arts Commission and The Lacy Arts Building invite you to step back in time to enjoy this vintage film.
