Follow the yellow brick road to Grace Church, 5504 E. 146th St., Noblesville, as it presents the spectacular stage musical The Wizard of Oz. From Nov. 21 to 30, a total of eight performances will bring the magical Land of Oz to life.
Tickets for this vibrant, family-friendly production start at $16 and are on sale now. With performances averaging 1,000 patrons each, many shows are expected to sell out. Audiences will be immersed in this enchanting journey over the rainbow through a large-scale production featuring a 65-person cast, a full 20-piece live orchestra and several theatrical stage effects.
“Now more than ever, we all need a reminder that there’s truly no place like home,” said Amy Christie, the show’s director. “Live theatre has this incredible power to bring people together, to let us share in a moment of joy and wonder. We chose The Wizard of Oz to create that shared experience, a story that wraps you in warmth and reminds us all that our most important adventures often lead us back to the people we love.”
Leading the cast as Dorothy is Sophie Osgood, a veteran of the Grace Theatre stage.

“Doing The Wizard of Oz is particularly special for me because ‘there’s no place like home’ really resonates as we moved back here after living in New York City,” Osgood said. “Grace Theatre is where my passion for performing started, so to get to be playing this character who is so intent on getting back home to her family on the Grace stage is pretty full circle!”
In a bit of on-stage magic mirroring real life, Osgood met her husband, Jon – who plays the Scarecrow – in a Grace production of Beauty and the Beast in 2016.
“Oz is a classic tale, but the stage version has some additional songs and tidbits that will surprise people, and there’s nothing like live theater to bring a room of people together as a story unfolds,” Christie said. “The show is a testament to the incredible talent in our community, a mix of all ages and backgrounds coming together to bring Oz to life.”
The production will partner with the Grace Care Center. All proceeds from concession sales during the show’s run will go directly to supporting the Grace Care Center’s mission and services.
Join Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, and Toto, too, on their unforgettable journey to the Emerald City. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit gracechurch.us/theatre.
