Sarah Shields kicked off her campaign on Thursday, Oct. 9 for Hamilton County Superior Court 9. A mom, magistrate, and Hamilton County native, Shields is running to continue serving her community with integrity and a steadfast commitment to justice.
“As a full-time magistrate, I am in the courtroom every day, ensuring that everyone who comes before the court is treated with dignity and respect,” Shields said. “I will bring proven experience and a steady temperament to Superior Court 9, ensuring the court operates with efficiency, fiscal responsibility, and accessibility for everyone in our community.”
Shields serves as Magistrate to the Hamilton Superior Courts 1 and 2. She was admitted to the Indiana Bar in 2016 and has experience in both public service and private practice. This includes work as a Deputy Attorney General and in private practice, handling criminal and civil litigation, as well as appellate representation. She earned her law degree from Indiana University’s Robert H. McKinney School of Law, with a concentration in Advocacy Skills. She and her husband live in Hamilton County with their two children and are expecting their third.
