The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced that the Township Line Road bridge over Interstate 465 is set to reopen on or after Tuesday, Feb. 10, ahead of the originally planned reopening in the spring.
The bridge, which crosses over I-465 near the Marion/Hamilton county line, closed in the summer of 2025 for a bridge replacement project. While it is set to reopen this week, final pavement markings and asphalt work still needs to be completed. The bridge is expected to close for approximately one week in the spring for that final work.
Additionally, lane closures are planned on I-465 next week under the bridge for final work on the underneath side. Weather permitting, the following nightly lane closures are scheduled from U.S. 421 (Michigan Road) to Ditch Road between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.:
- Monday, Feb. 16, and Tuesday, Feb. 17: Two right lanes closed on I-465 westbound
- Wednesday, Feb. 18, and Thursday, Feb. 19: Two left lanes closed on I-465 westbound
- Friday, Feb. 20, and Saturday, Feb. 21: Two left lanes closed on I-465 eastbound
- Monday, Feb. 23, and Tuesday, Feb. 24: Two right lanes closed on I-465 eastbound
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and use extra caution while traveling in and around work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
