For the second time in two days, the Hamilton Southeastern Royals scored more than 80 points.
For the second straight game, the Class 4A Royals won big. This time at Muncie Central, 85-51, on Wednesday to win their fourth consecutive.
The Royals’ current streak began on Jan. 31 against 4A Pendleton Heights, 76-72, reached new heights Tuesday against Class A Indianapolis Metro, 94-66, with a season-high point total and continues to roll towards their Sectional 8 preview with 4A Carmel on Friday.
Senior Luke Weemer led the Royals (11-9) inside Muncie Central Fieldhouse with a game-high 18 points and seven rebounds.
He was joined by senior Landon Osswald with 16 points and sophomore Varschon Clark with 10 to give HSE three players in double figures.
HSE led 19-14 after the first quarter before building a 53-26 advantage by halftime behind a 34-point second frame.
The Royals tallied 23 points off turnovers and shot 61 percent from the floor, including 7 of 14 from 3-point range.
Weemer went 6-for-10 from the field and 5-for-5 from the free-throw line, while Osswald was 5-for-6 and a flawless 6-for-6 from the foul line.
Senior Maverick Young had 9 points on 3-for-5 shooting from deep.
