Hamilton Southeastern’s boys made a big second-half comeback on their way to a 66-64 win over Lawrence Central Thursday in an away game.
The Royals led 19-17 after one quarter, but the Bears dominated the second period, pouring in 25 points in the quarter to lead 42-29 at halftime.
Southeastern turned the tables on LC during the third quarter, outscoring the Bears 18-9 to cut their lead to 51-47. The Royals poured in 19 points in the fourth to clinch the win.
Four players scored in double figures, starting with Landon Osswald’s 18 points. Luke Weemer added 17 points, Varschon Clark scored 15 and KJ Buckley came off the bench to add 12.
Clark was close to triple-double territory, collecting eight rebounds and dishing out eight assists. Jack Jacobs handed out five assists, while Weemer pulled six rebounds.
The Royals are 5-6 and travel to Westfield next Friday for a Hoosier Crossroads Conference girls-boys doubleheader.
