Cold winter days don’t have to mean staying home. This February, guests can trade dreary weather for a warm, cozy ride aboard a vintage train, with Nickel Plate Express offering a full schedule of themed experiences departing from Forest Park in Noblesville.
Friday nights are trivia nights on the train, and we’re kicking things off with Rom-Com Trivia Night on Feb. 6. Come ready for laughs, friendly competition, and plenty of questions inspired by favorite romantic comedy movies. Then on Feb. 20, we’re turning back the clock for 1980s Trivia Night, packed with all the neon, nostalgia, and pop culture you’d expect.
If you’re looking for a truly special night out, Cocktails and Candlelight is a brand-new experience on Feb. 7 and Feb. 14. This is one of our favorite new rides because it feels personal from the moment you step onboard. Each table is reserved just for you (no communal seating), and the whole train is set with candlelight for the perfect cozy, romantic backdrop. Add in specialty cocktails and charcuterie, and honestly, it doesn’t get much more romantic than this on a vintage train.
We’ll also have family-friendly Valentine’s Day rides, because celebrating love can (and should) include the whole crew – kids, grandparents, and everyone in between.
And we’re ending the month with a bang – literally – with 1980s Prom Gone Bad, our over-the-top murder mystery experience. In this unique adventure, guests are the actors and interact with other passengers to find out clues in this whodunnit adventure.
Tickets and additional ride details are available online. Seating is limited, so riders should book early. For more details or to book online, visit NickelPlateExpress.org.
