Westfield had to wait a day to play its game at Ben Davis, but it was worth the wait.
The Shamrocks took care of the Giants 68-42 Wednesday evening in their regular-season finale. Westfield outscored Ben Davis in all four quarters, leading 19-9 after one and 35-20 at halftime.
MaKayla Hatcher was dominant in the second quarter, pouring in 10 points. Ellie Wheeler nailed two 3-pointers during the opening period.
The second half belonged to freshman Lillian Clark. She scored 17 points in that half, with nine in the third quarter and eight more in the fourth. Clark finished the game with 22 points, including three 3-pointers.
Hatcher was right behind with 21 points; she scored in each quarter. Wheeler finished with 15 points. Audra Parker scored seven.
Westfield is 17-7 and plays Hamilton Southeastern Tuesday in the first round of Class 4A Sectional 8 at Carmel.
