The Hamilton Heights swim teams competed at the Hoosier Conference meet Saturday, Jan. 17 at the Purdue University Aquatic Center.

In the girls meet, the Huskies finished second as a team with 335 points. West Lafayette totaled 423 points to win the meet. Heights won six individual events, including a 1-2 finish in diving. Illiana Bowyer was first and Mazie Morrison took second.
Ayla Madara and Amira Leer both picked up three victories. Madara won the individual medley, then set a new school record of 58.37 seconds while winning the butterfly.
Leer claimed victories in the 200 and 500 freestyles. She and Madara teamed up with Quinn Thompson and Audrey Cain to finish first in the 400 freestyle relay.
The Huskies placed third in the boys meet, scoring 316 points. Aiden Clarke won the butterfly in a new school record, this after teaming with Hudson Holt, Rowan Donald and Isaac Correll to place first in the medley relay.
