Hamilton County is updating its Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan (MHMP). This federally required plan helps identify natural hazards, assess risks, and develop strategies to reduce damage and protect residents during disasters.
The public’s input is needed. A second hazard mitigation meeting will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13 at the Silos 37 Pavilion at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds, 2003 Pleasant St., Noblesville.
During this meeting, participants will:
- Review the results of the county’s Hazard Vulnerability Assessment
- Discuss updated, hazard-specific data for Hamilton County
- Help develop mitigation goals and strategies to minimize social, physical, and economic losses resulting from disaster-related impacts to our community
Your participation is important, and you can make Hamilton County a safer and more resilient place. For more information, call the Hamilton County Emergency Management Office at (317) 770-3381.
