Jellison
A life-long Hamilton County resident, Hamilton County Coroner Jeff Jellison brings experience in law enforcement, death investigation, and forensic operations. He has presented at national forensic conferences and is known for his commitment to thorough death investigations and respectful care of decedents and their families.
Under Jellison’s guidance, the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office became the first coroner’s office in Indiana, and one of only 50 nationwide, to achieve international accreditation.
Recognized for his work in identifying remains from the Fox Hollow Farm murder case, Jellison leads an ongoing effort to identify multiple previously unknown victims. His leadership is bringing long-overdue closure to families affected by these tragic events.
During his tenure, the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office has embraced cutting-edge forensic technology including the implementation of the Randox Multistat Toxicology Analyzer, reducing toxicology turnaround times from several weeks to under 60 minutes. This powerful tool enables alerts to potential emerging drug threats and provides real-time information for law enforcement and public health officials.
If re-elected, Jellison’s priorities will include:
- Continuing to provide thorough death investigations for the residents of Hamilton County
- Continued identification of unresolved remains, including Fox Hollow Farm victims
- Maintaining national accreditation through rigorous standards
- Enhancing public education and transparency in death investigations
“The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office has raised the bar in forensic science, death investigation and victim advocacy,” Jellison said. “We’ve modernized our tools, improved transparency, and delivered long-awaited answers to grieving families. I’m running for re-election to continue that work with compassion, integrity and an unwavering commitment to the people of Hamilton County.”
