The Fishers boys swimming team won the Hoosier Crossroads Conference swimming and diving meet, which took place Thursday, Jan. 8 at the IU Natatorium.
The Tigers scored 395 points to win the team trophy and claimed three individual events. Alex Koo won the 50 freestyle in 20.90 seconds and the 100 free in 46.53 seconds.
Kirby Danglade led a 1-2 finish in diving, winning the event with a score of 321.30 points, while Mason Lawson took second with 312.15 points.
Westfield was the team runner-up, totaling 325 points. The Shamrocks’ Zach Welch was a double winner, starting with a victory in the 200 free. Welch’s time was 1 minute, 43.38 seconds. He later won the 500 free in 4:37.80.
Hamilton Southeastern finished third with 322 points. Camden Bailey placed second in the 200 free (1:44.47) and the 100 free (47.39) for the Royals.
Noblesville placed fifth with 250 points but had four event wins. The Millers were first in the medley relay (1:37.38) and the 200 free relay (1:28.35), while Joshua Naas won the individual medley in 1:56.81 and the breaststroke in 58.67 seconds.
Zionsville won a close girls meet, edging out Fishers 462-449. The Tigers won four events, including a double victory from Emily Wolf in the 200 free (1:51.11) and 500 free (4:55.25.)
Ashlyn Hayes was first in the 100 free, clocking in at 52.30 seconds and placed second in the 100 free (1:51.88) to give the Tigers a 1-2 finish in that event. Fishers also won the 400 free relay in 3:31.31.
Southeastern placed third as a team with 391 points. Naomi Haines picked up wins in the 50 free (23.87) and backstroke (57.85), while the Royals also won the medley relay (1:47.06).
Westfield finished fourth, totaling 207 points. Evie Wheat was second in the IM with a time of 2:10.18.
Noblesville placed fifth with 195 points. Eryn McMahon won the diving event, scoring 283.15 points.
