Buffalouie’s in Carmel was the place to be Thursday, Jan. 1 as the restaurant held a watch party for the Indiana University football team. The Hoosiers trounced Alabama 38-3 to win the Rose Bowl for the first time ever and advance to the semifinals of the College Football Playoff. Indiana plays Oregon in the Peach Bowl this Friday in Atlanta.
Pictured is Patt Elff of Carmel. Elff is a member of the Carmel Runners Club and she was happily running around Buffalouie’s after the Hoosiers scored another touchdown.
Nick Williams, owner of Buffalouie’s, told The Reporter that the restaurant has celebrations for “all the games” and noted there was a “lot of energy” among the over 100 fans watching the game that night. Buffalouie’s got its start in Bloomington in 1987 and recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of its Carmel location, 43 W. Main St. The restaurant will have another party for the Peach Bowl as well.
