Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation (CCPR) will hold its annual Holiday Tree Recycling Day from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9 at Westermeier Commons in Central Park, 920 Central Park Drive West.
Participants can bring their live, decoration-free trees to the Westermeier Commons parking lot for this free, drive-through recycling event. During the event, CCPR staff and volunteers will unload trees from vehicles and recycle them into mulch for use throughout local parks and green spaces. In addition, CCPR will offer warm refreshments as a thank-you.
CCPR continues to offer Holiday Tree Recycling Day as a seasonal service for the community. Last year, participants donated and recycled 41 trees, helping divert waste from landfills and support park stewardship.
No advance registration is required to participate. Volunteers are needed to help welcome guests, direct traffic, and assist with unloading trees. Click here to sign up to volunteer. Questions about the event? Contact volunteer@carmelclayparks.com.
