The Westfield Education Foundation (WEF) has received a $15,000 grant from Hamilton County Community Foundation (HCCF) to remove barriers and provide students and educators the support they need to thrive.
HCCF, established in 1991, is a $140 million public foundation working to mobilize people, ideas, and investment to make this a community where every individual has an equitable opportunity to reach their full potential. The foundation aims to build a community where opportunity meets growth for everyone and philanthropic efforts support nonprofit organizations doing vital work.
With this funding, WEF will offer spring grants to help teachers prepare for the 2026 school year. This investment will strengthen classrooms across the district by providing resources that support instruction and enrich student learning experiences, ensuring educators have the tools they need to impact students every day.
“This investment reflects our belief in the power of educators and the importance of well-resourced classrooms,” HCCF President Danielle Stiles-Polk said. “By partnering with the Westfield Education Foundation, we’re helping ensure teachers have the tools and support they need to enrich learning experiences and create lasting impact for students across the district.”
“What matters most is what this support can mean inside our classrooms,” WEF Executive Director Ashley Knott said. “When we are able to invest in teachers and provide resources that enhance teaching and learning, students benefit in real and lasting ways. This grant helps strengthen the support systems our educators rely on to serve students well.”
What this means for teachers & students
The grant expands WEF’s ability to support Westfield Washington Schools by helping provide resources that:
- Enhance learning through technology, STEM tools, and hands-on instruction.
- Strengthen literacy with books and reading supports across grade levels.
- Expand experiences through field trips and real-world learning opportunities.
- Support well-being and students of all abilities by creating inclusive, student-centered learning environments.
WEF is grateful for this partnership with HCCF and remains committed to working with community partners to ensure Westfield Washington Schools have the resources needed to support both educators and students.
