GIRLS GOLF – Maya Fujisawa Keuling, Carmel
A freshman, Fujisawa Keuling had a splendid first season for the Greyhounds. She won sectional and regional championships before placing third individually at the state meet and helping Carmel to a fourth-place team finish.
BOYS TENNIS – Wes Worobel, Carmel
Worobel, a senior and Butler University recruit, was an integral part of the Greyhounds’ run to a team state championship. Worobel played No. 1 singles and finished the season with a 25-1 record against some of the state’s best players.
BOYS CROSS COUNTRY – Liam Powers, Hamilton Southeastern
The senior Powers was a consistent force for the Royals during the season. The Belmont recruit won titles at the Hoosier Crossroads Conference meet and Noblesville sectional, placed second at the county meet and finished fourth at the state meet.
GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY – Sadie Foley, Carmel
Foley, a senior, helped lead the Greyhounds to their record-extending 21st state championship this fall. The Indiana University recruit placed third at state, also taking second at the Brownsburg regional and first at the North Central sectional.
BOYS SOCCER – Quinn Wu, Carmel
Wu, a senior midfielder, helped the Greyhounds to their second state championship and first in 19 years. He was named the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association’s Boys Player of the Year after a season that included seven goals and seven assists.
GIRLS SOCCER – Sloane May, Hamilton Southeastern
The senior May, a Michigan recruit, was a major part of the Royals breaking through to win their first-ever state championship. May was named the ISCA’s Girls Player of the Year, scoring 15 goals during HSE’s undefeated season.
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL – Macie Smith, Hamilton Heights
Smith, a Huskies senior and West Virginia recruit, was part of Heights’ best seasons in history. She powered the Huskies to a sectional and first-ever regional crown, blasting 560 kills and serving 58 aces, leading Heights in both categories.
FOOTBALL – Deacon King, Westfield
King, a senior two-way player, is headed to Northern Illinois after an outstanding career for the Shamrocks, including back-to-back appearances in the Class 6A state finals. Despite missing some games due to injury, King rushed for 823 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also made 52 tackles as a rare 6A player who excels on both offense and defense.
