The school board has responsibility for major district functions including school district governance and oversight, setting school policies, approving funding, strategic planning, and hiring and evaluating the superintendent.
- The board recognized NWMS and NEMS middle school student athletes in volleyball and golf for their county championships. NWMS students were also recognized for winning a media award from the Indiana Association of School Principals. A Noble Crossing Elementary student was recognized for his artwork, which was selected for the district’s holiday card.
- Hazel Dell Elementary presented on their “how to” manual for academic excellence.
- Marnie Cooke, executive director of marketing and communications, presented on Engaging Community Relations and the district’s new Dollars + $ense financial effort as part of a series of presentations on the district’s strategic plan.
- The board approved a consulting contract, the purchase of a small parcel of parking lot bordering the Educational Services Center, and a change in Little Millers Preschool lunch fees.
