Hamilton Heights’ girls rolled to their seventh consecutive win on Saturday, Dec. 20, beating Blackford 65-34 in a home game.
The Huskies cruised through the first half, leading 38-19 at halftime. Heights’ held a 60-27 advantage after three quarters, then Zoey Curry scored the first basket of the fourth period to put the Huskies ahead 35 points and institute a running clock.
Riley Suarez led Heights with 24 points. Stella Taylor scored 10 points and made five steals, while Addison Blum drained three 3-pointers for nine points and also dished out four assists. Bayleigh Eisele had a solid all-around game, with eight points, six rebounds, six assists and four steals.
The Huskies are 9-2 and play in the New Castle Tournament on Saturday. Heights takes on Oldenburg Academy at noon in the second first-round game.
