The REPORTER
The Sheridan girls wrestling team hosted Frankfort on Monday for the Blackhawks’ Senior Night meet.
The Hot Dogs won 39-30, with Sheridan winning five matches, all by pin. Aubrey Koch won at 115 pounds, followed by Ellie Eaton at 130 and Devyn Pewarski at 135.
Two Sheridan wrestlers bumped up a weight class and also got pins: Eva Todd at 145 and Adrianna Hamersley at 155. It was Hamersley’s 75th career win.
“They’re doing awesome,” said Sheridan coach Jason Hamersley. They’ve grown in numbers by five girls this year, and their middle school program has 15 come out to callouts.”
