The Sheridan girls basketball team dropped a 47-24 Hoosier Heartland Conference game to Rossville Thursday at Larry Hobbs Hall.
The Hornets outscored the Blackhawks in all four quarters, leading 12-5 after the first period and 22-13 at halftime. Rossville took further control in the third quarter, outscoring Sheridan 18-8 for a 40-21 lead.
Brielle Garner scored 11 points for the Hawks, while Sadie Timme added seven points. Makenzy Terry had four points and Teagen Horney scored two points.
Timme led the rebounds with eight, while Terry collected four rebounds.
Sheridan is 1-1 in the conference and 4-4 overall. The Blackhawks’ next game is Tuesday at Tri-West.
