Guerin Catholic’s boys dropped their first game of the season Wednesday, falling to Muncie Central 57-52 at the Eagles Nest.
The Bearcats led 19-14 after the first quarter before the Golden Eagles made a second-quarter comeback, pouring in 18 points to lead 32-26 at halftime. Muncie Central came back in the third period, tying the game 41-41 by the end of the quarter before pulling ahead in the fourth.
Carter Murans led Guerin Catholic with 24 points and eight rebounds. Hayden Rogers added 11 points and dished out nine assists.
The Golden Eagles are 2-1 and host Westfield next Friday, Dec. 12.
