Noblesville Lions voted at their November meeting to select the artwork created by Noblesville East Middle School student Addison Thomas for this year’s Lions International Peace Poster competition.
Thomas and her parents were guests at our December meeting. In addition to recognizing her talent at the local level, Past District Chair Lion Julia Kozicki announced that her poster had been presented to Lions District 25D where it was chosen to compete at the state level. Lion Julia then shared that Thomas’ work was then designated to represent District 25 (the state of Indiana) at Lions International.
Lions International is sponsoring the program to emphasize the importance of world peace to young people everywhere. One international grand prize winner and 23 merit award winners will be selected. The grand prize includes a cash award of $5,000 and will be recognized at a special Lions International awards ceremony. The 23 merit award winners will each receive a certificate and a cash award of $500.
