The Westfield Fire Department, in partnership with the Westfield Washington Township Trustee’s Office and Trustee Jamie Goetz Mills, have begun a community-wide food drive to support Open Doors of Westfield, a vital local organization addressing food insecurity.
Open Doors of Westfield provides critical support by distributing 26,000 pounds of donated food each month to more than 450 children and adults in need. This partnership aims to bolster those efforts and ensure no one in the community goes hungry.
“Hunger is a problem we can fix as a community,” Goetz Mills said. “By working together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors.”
Residents are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items at the following convenient drop-off locations:
- Fire Station 381, 17001 Ditch Road
- Fire Station 382, 1920 E. 151st St.
- Fire Station 383, 17944 Grassy Branch Road
- Township Trustee’s Office, 17400 Westfield Blvd.
Every donation helps stock the shelves at Open Doors and directly supports families facing food insecurity.
The Westfield Fire Department and the Township Trustee invite all residents, businesses, and community groups to join in this shared mission of compassion and action.
