The Fishers girls basketball team sailed past Anderson 52-19 in a Wednesday game at the Tiger Den.
Fishers played shutout ball in the first quarter, rolling to a 22-0 lead by the end of the period. Reagan Reiff and Natalie Thomas both scored eight points in the quarter, including two 3-pointers from Reiff.
The Tigers led 33-5 at halftime, with Alanna Anthony scoring six in the second quarter. Fishers held a 46-13 lead after three periods and the fourth quarter was played in its entirety under a running clock.
“I was proud of us,” said Tigers coach Lauren Votaw. “We talked about going in to the game how we wanted to consistently move the ball well and really improve our defensive rebounding that we’ve struggled with a little bit in the last few games. I was very pleased with both of those things tonight.”
Reiff led Fishers with 13 points, draining three 3s. Thomas added 10 points and Anthony scored eight points and collected eight rebounds. Makayla Triplett pulled seven rebounds and Lillian Burns had six rebounds.
The Tigers are 2-1 and travel to the Fort Wayne area on Saturday to play two games. Fishers plays at Carroll at 1:30 p.m., then heads to Columbia City for a 6:30 p.m. contest.
