Senior Devyn Pewarski also went 4-2 at 135 pounds, advancing all the way to the semifinals to finish fourth.
Adrianna Hamersley had a career day, going 3-2 and placing fourth at 145. Hamersley lost only to the No. 3-ranked wrestler in the state at 145 twice.

At 130, freshman and first year wrestler Ellen Phillips also competed in the deep 22-person bracket.
Landyn Gardner showed technical improvement while wrestling in the 135-pound weight class.
At 140, Eva Todd went 2-2 with a couple nail-biter matches. One of those losses was to the No. 2-ranked wrestler in the state at 140.
Emmily Jacobo-Silva stepped into a new weight class for the team as well.
“This is the best we’ve looked and against some stiff competition. There are a lot of good takeaways today,” said Sheridan assistant coach Colin Warner.
Hawks host four teams
On Wednesday, Sheridan made history at Larry Hobbs Hall.
“This is the first time the girls have had a girls-only dual in Sheridan,” said Blackhawks head coach Jason Hamersley.
In fact, the Blackhawks hosted two meets. First, Sheridan took on a combined team from Eastern, Tri-Central and Tipton. After a five-minute break, the Hawks took on Zionsville.
The Hawks on the combined meet 30-21. Hamersley (at 145), Stowers (at 110), Koch (at 115) and Eaton (at 130) all won matches by forfeit. Todd finished the meet with a second-period pin at 140.
Sheridan then scored an impressive 40-17 win over Zionsville. Hamersley started that meet with a forfeit win at 145, then Underwood took the 155-pound bout in a 9-0 major decision.
The Eagles won the next three matches to lead 17-10, but Koch stopped that with a first-period pin at 115. Khloe Goebel won by forfeit at 125 to put Sheridan ahead 22-17.
The Blackhawks finished the meet strong with three consecutive wins by fall. Eaton got a pin at 130, Pewarski was a winner at 135 and Todd won the 140-pound match.
Warner said Sheridan “showed a lot of improvement. They’re doing the things that we’re working on in the room. I was pretty happy getting wins over a combination team and a school that was bigger than us. I thought our girls wrestled really hard.”
The Blackhawks return to action Saturday at the Clinton Prairie Tournament.
