Sheridan High School Student Council held its annual Track or Treat event on Wednesday, Oct. 29. Despite the unpredictable weather, the evening was a huge success.
Originally planned to take place outdoors, the event was moved inside due to nearby rainstorms. However, the change in location didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. Dressed-up kids and their awaiting parents filled the main square of the high school, where students, families, and community members made their way around – just as they would on the track – to visit the booths and collect candy and treats. In addition to the candy stations, there were costume contests divided into four age groups: Baby through Kindergarten, First through Fifth Grade, Middle School, and High School.
The turnout was fantastic, and both the Student Council and the school district expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming community support. The event was made possible by generous sponsors and school organizations that helped distribute candy and engage with families. Sponsors included Westfield Culver’s, Sheridan Fire Department, Norman & Miller Eyecare, Schmidt Family Dentistry, and Waitt Grain Co., Inc.
It was a night full of community spirit, laughter, and Halloween fun that truly brought Sheridan together.
