Westfield dropped its first game of the season Saturday, Nov. 8, falling 65-51 at Pendleton Heights.
The Arabians led 16-10 after one quarter and 35-21 at halftime. Freshman Lillian Clark made two 3-pointers for the Shamrocks in the second period.
Westfield played even with Pendleton in the second half, with each team scoring 30 points. Freshman Gabby Bassett scored 13 points in that half; she finished as the Shamrocks’ leading scorer with 16 points.
Clark totaled 14 points, including four 3s. MaKayla Hatcher added nine points.
Westfield is 1-1 and plays Wednesday at Lawrence Central.
