Guerin Catholic made history with its 45-30 win at Greenfield-Central on Saturday, Nov. 15.
For the first time, the Golden Eagles are 3-0 to start the season. Guerin Catholic powered its way to that mark, outscoring the Cougars in all four quarters.
Guerin Catholic lead 8-7 after the first period, with Dana Dues making two 3-pointers. The Golden Eagles then blasted through the second quarter for a 24-16 halftime lead; Lauren Keller added a pair of triples.
It was Ceclia Titus’ turn in the third period, as she contributed seven points and helped GC take a 36-24 lead going into the fourth quarter. Emme Horvath scored seven points in the fourth, going 3-for-3 from the free-throw line.
In fact, the Golden Eagles had a perfect night from the line, making all seven of their free throws. All eight Guerin Catholic players scored, with Horvath chipping in 10 points to lead the way.
The Golden Eagles host Heritage Christian this Saturday.
