Over the course of the season, Sheridan cross country has improved every day.
Every single runner dropped at least 40 seconds from their personal record at the start of the season, a huge accomplishment in itself. Some student-athletes even dropped around five minutes from their time over the course of the season.
While the season came to a close on Oct. 11 with the Hoosier Heartland Conference meet, there were incredible performances all around. For the middle school boys, Thomas Rusk got first place by 15 seconds. Noel Roberts placed 11th, and Cooper Newby placed 31st.
“We are so proud of all of our runners, but these performances in particular stood out!” Head Coach Elaine Morgan said.
