Fulfilling its mission of community support, the Carmel Fire Department (CFD) Auxiliary has been providing support for families in need since 1967, the longest running program of its kind.
Each holiday season, the CFD Auxiliary provides a festive meal, essential pantry items and gifts for children to families throughout the Carmel Clay Township. The list of families is shared through a partnership with the Good Samaritan Network, ensuring that assistance reaches those who need it most.
Through its Community Assistance Program (CAP), the Auxiliary continues this long-standing tradition of generosity. Last year alone, the CFD Auxiliary sponsored 175 families, and this year that number is expected to grow to nearly 200.

Want to get involved? Here are two great ways to participate:
- Sponsor a family: As a sponsor, you’ll purchase and wrap gifts for the children in your assigned family. Wrapped presents are dropped off during the first week of December. Sign up to sponsor a family here or email jbaker@carmel.in.gov.
- Help deliver gifts: Join the Auxiliary at 9 a.m. Dec. 13 for Delivery Day, a joyful, bustling morning of giving back. Meet at the Carmel Training Center, 4925 E. 106th St., Carmel, where volunteers will load vehicles with food and gifts for delivery to families across the Carmel Clay Township area.
This is a wonderful opportunity to involve your whole family spread holiday cheer, and experience the true spirit of giving. If you have any questions, call Jessie Baker at (317) 571-2616.
