The Indiana Aviation Hall of Fame held its induction ceremony for the Class of 2025 last Saturday, Sept. 27 at the 502 East Event Centre in Carmel. Mr. Weatherman (also known as “Paul Poteet” in some circles and “Reporter Owner” in others) served as the emcee for the night.
The 2025 Honorees are:
- Bryan Bedford, Republic Airways President and CEO, pilot
- Jay Brill, USAF Brig. Gen. (Ret)
- Mark Brown, NASA Astronaut, USAF Col. (Ret)
- Jerry Ross, NASA Astronaut, USAF Col. (Ret)
- Richard “Rick” Rowe, former ATA Airlines Chief Pilot and VP of Operations, FAA Inspector
- Alexander Vraciu, USN CDR (Ret), WWII ace
- Mary “Marty” Wyall, WWII Women Airforce Service Pilot (WASP), Congressional Gold Medal recipient, Women in Aviation International Pioneer Hall of Fame inductee
These individual Honorees have made significant and enduring contributions to the history of aviation and aerospace in Indiana, the nation, or the world through achievement, leadership, exceptional service, innovation, and/or entrepreneurial spirit. Their induction will be commemorated with a permanent Indiana Aviation Hall of Fame display plaque displayed at the Indianapolis International Airport, a personal medallion, and a crystal award.
