Main Street Productions, Inc. (MSP) honored outstanding local talent during its 16th annual Westie Awards held Sunday, Oct. 19 at the Basile Westfield Playhouse, 220 N. Union St.
The annual event recognizes exceptional achievements in theater performance, technical design, and youth contributions to the arts throughout the 2024-2025 season.
The evening began with MSP’s annual board meeting, featuring a recap of the past year and exciting plans for the 2025-2026 season. Scholarship and Youth Production Awards were presented to encourage and support the next generation of performing artists. Highlights included the presentation of the $500 Youth Scholarship Award to Annalisa Schuth and awards recognizing technical and performance excellence among young performers in the youth production Puffs.
Following the youth awards, the Westies recognized excellence across MSP productions, which you can read in the green box.
The Board of Directors at MSP extends heartfelt thanks to all directors, cast, and crew who participated in the 2024-2025 season and helped make it a memorable one.
“It’s always such a joy to celebrate the incredible talent in our community,” said Kathy Watson of the Westie Awards Committee. “Seeing our winners in person accepting their awards is the highlight of the year.”
The Westie Awards celebrate outstanding achievements while fostering camaraderie and inspiration throughout Westfield’s theater community.
