The Sheridan volleyball team won two matches over the past week.
The Blackhawks swept North Montgomery on the road Wednesday, beating the Chargers 25-21, 25-23, 25-14. Lainey Mendenhall led the offense with 26 kills, breaking the single-season record for kills. Adria Jump put down five kills, followed by Lilli Thompson with three and Emily Will with two. Jump also dished out 30 assists.
Beth Adams served three aces and totaled 13 service points, while Jump hit two aces on 10 service points. Thompson had 11 service points.
Mednehall and Adams led the defense with 17 digs each, while Jump collected 15 digs. Kelsie Hagan made 11 digs, followed by Thompson with 10 and Meredith Krupp with eight.
Sheridan returned home on Thursday and swept Hoosier Heartland Conference opponent Tri-Central 25-8, 25-11, 25-6. Mendenhall put down 11 kills, Jump with five and Hagan with four and Thompson with three. Jump handed out 17 assists.
Jump delivered six aces on 14 service points. Eva Todd and Mendenhall each had four aces on 12 service points. Will hit four aces on 10 service points.
Krupp scooped up seven digs, followed by Izzy Gray and Jump with six each. Todd had five digs and Will collected four.
Sheridan hosts the HHC tournament on Saturday.

Hamilton Heights finished its regular season with a sweep of Marion Thursday, 25-0, 25-1, 25-9.
Sierra Bramel played strong at setter while Liv Schiffli had several good serves.
The Huskies are 21-8 and will compete at the New Castle sectional next week.

Westfield won an all-county match with Hamilton Heights in four sets on Wednesday, 25-13, 25-17, 23-25, 25-20.
Paige Rudolph hit 13 kills for the Shamrocks, followed by Georgia Bresnahan with 10 kills; Bresnahan served three aces. Emily Blevins dished out 26 assists, and Kenna Robinson handed out 18 assists. Bresnahan collected 12 digs, while Brooke Neale and Gabby Bassett both had 10 digs. Rudolph made three blocks.
Macie Smith hit 20 kills for Heights, while Liv Schiffli put down 11 kills. Reece Blanton provided 16 assists, while Sierra Bramel handed out 14 assists. Smith also scooped up 15 digs.
On Thursday, the Shamrocks swept Fishers 25-19, 25-14, 25-20. Bresnahan hit 14 kills, followed by Carsyn Comer with 10 kills. Neale served four aces. Blevins dished out 23 assists, while Robinson provided 19 assists.
Neale collected 16 digs, with Comer and Rudolph both made three blocks.
The Rocks improved to 23-1 and play at the Zionsville sectional next week.
