The Hamilton Southeastern boys soccer team got past Pendleton Heights 2-1 in overtime Tuesday to reach the semifinals at Class 3A Sectional 8 at Fishers.
After a scoreless first half, both teams got one goal in the second half. The Arabians scored first, then Jonathan Ramos Perez immediately scored to tie the game.
With the score 1-1 at the end of regulation, the game went to overtime, which consists of two seven-minute periods. Neither team scored in the first OT, but Jack Barnes put in a header with 7.3 seconds left in the second overtime to send Southeastern to victory.
The Royals will play Mt. Vernon in today’s second semifinal, which begins at 7:15 p.m. The Marauders beat Richmond 4-2 in Tuesday’s other first-round game. The host Tigers play Anderson in tonight’s first semifinal, which starts at 5:30 p.m.

University took care of Traders Point Christian 9-0 in the first round of Class 1A Sectional 40 at North Putnam on Tuesday.
The Trailblazers take on the host Cougars in tonight’s second semifinal game, starting at 7 p.m. Bethesda Christian and Covenant Christian will play the first semifinal at 5 p.m.

Hamilton Heights fell to Heritage Christian 5-1 Monday at Class 3A Sectional 24 at Guerin Catholic.
The Huskies finished their season 9-8-2.
