The Westfield volleyball team is currently ranked No. 1 in the current Class 4A Indiana Volleyball Coaches Association’s Z-Ratings, and the Shamrocks played like it Tuesday.

Westfield swept Guerin Catholic – the No. 4 team in 3A – 25-10, 25-15, 25-16 to stay unbeaten for the season at 11-0. Grace Bresnahan led the Rocks’ offense with 14 kills. Kenna Robinson served five aces, with Kendyl Strack serving four.
Emily Blevins dished out 17 assists, with Robinson providing 16 assists. Strack made seven digs on defense.
Stats for the Golden Eagles were unbeaten at press time.
Westfield is back in action Thursday when it plays at Noblesville in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference match. Guerin Catholic is 8-3 and hosts Western Boone on Thursday.

Hamilton Heights split a pair of five-set matches to begin the week.
The 3A No. 9 Huskies fell to Fishers on Monday, 31-29, 19-25, 20-25, 25-20, 15-13. Aubrey Cloncs and Liv Schiffli both made several solid serves and kills.
Heights rebounded with a home win over Danville on Tuesday, 25-22, 27-25, 20-25, 23-25, 15-9. Julia Bearman made several digs and Reece Blanton had good serves.
The Huskies are 12-4 and host Western Thursday.

Sheridan swept Taylor 25-15, 25-14, 25-14 on Tuesday to win a Hoosier Heartland Conference match.
Adria Jump served a season-high nine aces, while Beth Adams also had a season-high serving night with eight aces. Adams totaled 17 service points and Jump had 10. Lainey Mendenhall hit three aces as well.
Mendenhall put down 12 kills, with Lilli Thompson hitting four and Amiyah Doss spiking three. Jump dished out 17 assists.
On defense, Jump made three solo blocks and had one assist, while Mendenhall made one block. Meredith Krupp and Izzy Grau both collected three digs, while Jump and Kelsie Hagan each made two digs.
The Blackhawks are 2-1 in conference play and 6-3 overall. Sheridan continues HHC action Thursday by hosting Carroll.

Hamilton Southeastern won a four-set match over Yorktown Tuesday, 25-13, 20-25, 25-23, 25-15.
Maye McConnell was honored at the match for setting a new school record in digs during the 4A No. 2 Royals’ match with Brownsburg on Aug. 28. McConnell collected 36 digs against the Bulldogs.
Southeastern is 10-1 and hosts Fishers Thursday in the Mudsock match.

Carmel dropped a four-set match to Zionsville on Tuesday, 25-22, 17-25, 25-21, 25-17.
The Greyhounds are 5-8 and play at the Brownsburg Round Robin Saturday morning.
