The Guerin Catholic girls volleyball team overcame a two-set deficit to win at Hamilton Heights on Tuesday. The set scores were 22-25, 21-25, 25-15, 25-22, 15-11.
Maddie Fritch and Emery Cardinal both 18 kills for the Golden Eagles, with Reese Canada putting down 13. Fritch served three aces, while Claire Ducey dished out 58 assists. Natalie Laughon collected 21 digs, with Fritch making 14 digs and Canada collecting 12. Eleanor Carlisle made six blocks.
The Huskies’ Macie Smith had an incredible offensive performance with 29 kills. Olivia Schiffli hit 13 kills. Sierra Bramel handed out 27 assists and Reece Blanton dished out 18. Addie Doak served three aces.
Macie Smith got 17 digs, while Doak collected 13. Celeste Wiegman made three blocks.
Guerin Catholic is 8-1 and hosts Roncalli tonight for a Circle City Conference match. Heights is 10-3 and plays a Hoosier Conference match at Logansport tonight.
