The Guerin Catholic volleyball team fell to Roncalli Thursday in a five-set Circle City Conference match.
The Golden Eagles lost 25-14, 16-25, 17-25, 25-11, 15-9. Guerin Catholic was playing in its third consecutive five-set match.
Emery Cardinal put down 14 kills for GC, with Maddie Fritch and Reese Canada both hitting 12. Grace Trentadue-Johnson served four aces, while Claire Ducey dished out 45 assists.
On defense, Natalie Laughon and Ducey both had 17 digs, while Canada made 12 digs. Cardinal had four blocks, while Julie Easters and Eleanor Carlisle both made three.
The Golden Eagles are 1-1 in conference play and 8-2 overall. Guerin Catholic’s next match is Tuesday at Westfield.

Westfield swept Zionsville Thursday for a Hoosier Crossroads Conference victory.
The Shamrocks won 25-17, 25-19, 25-21. Paige Rudolph hit nine kills, while Carsyn Comer put down eight. Kendyl Strack served four aces and Brooke Neale served three. Emily Blevins handed out 14 assists and Kenna Robinson dished out 11 assists.
Strack collected 14 digs. Audrey Davis made five blocks, with Comer and Jordyn Blair both making three blocks.
Westfield is 2-0 in conference play and stays perfect for the season at 10-0.

Hamilton Heights swept Logansport Thursday in a Hoosier Conference match.
The Huskies won 25-17, 25-14, 25-11. Celeste Wiegman led with strong serving, while Riley Suarez had strong hitting.
Heights is 11-3 and hosts Fishers on Monday.

Noblesville won a four-set match at Lawrence North Wednesday, 25-21, 25-12, 23-25, 25-13.
Reese Resmer had an outstanding night on offense for the Millers, blasting 27 kills. Ella Coppock hit 12 kills and Kennedy Lutz put down 11. Madison Brown dished out 57 assists.
Piper Endris and Lutz both made 13 digs, with Maggie Hall collecting 12 digs. Resmer totaled four blocks.
Noblesville played a Hoosier Crossroads Conference match at Fishers on Thursday, stats were not available at press time. The Millers’ next match is Tuesday when they host McCutcheon.

Carmel beat Center Grove in four sets on Tuesday, 25-17, 25-18, 18-25, 25-20.
Vanessa Mancini led the Greyhounds’ offense with 14 kills, followed by Lila Bruszewski with 10 and London Evans with nine. Evans also dished out 22 assists and served four aces, while Bruszewski hit three aces. Sarah Neglia handed out 16 assists.
Emily Overbeck collected 13 digs, while Tennie Anderson and Evans both made 10 digs. Samantha Adams led the blocks with four, while Overbeck, Catalina Ufor and Mancini all made three blocks.
Carmel is 4-4 and plays at the Avon Classic on Saturday, taking on Floyd Central in its first match at 9 a.m.

Sheridan swept International on Wednesday, 25-16, 25-6, 26-24.
Lainey Mendenhall hit 10 kills for the Blackhawks. Adria Jump and Beth Adams both served three aces, with Jump dishing out 24 assists. Eva Todd had 13 digs, while Mendenhall collected 10.
Sheridan dropped a four-set Hoosier Heartland Conference match to Eastern Thursday, 18-25, 25-21, 25-20, 25-17. Stats were unavailable at press time. The Blackhawks are 3-2 and play Saturday at the Clinton Prairie Invitational.

University hosted Bishop Chatard on Wednesday, falling 25-7, 25-10, 25-20.
Brooke Henderson hit six kills for the Trailblazers. Quinlan Litke collected 17 digs, while Nyla Blanding had 11 digs and dished out 10 assists.
University is 1-8 and travels to Seton Catholic on Saturday for Pioneer Conference matches with the host Cardinals and Anderson Prep Academy.
