Fishers traveled to Brownsburg Friday, Sept. 19 to take on the unbeaten Bulldogs in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game.
The Tigers lost 42-14. Brownsburg led 28-0 late in the second quarter before Fishers got on the board with 11 seconds before halftime. Ryan Thembulembu carried the ball two yards into the end zone, with Micah Hillen making the extra-point kick.
The Bulldogs scored two more touchdowns in the third quarter to lead 42-7, instituting a running clock. The Tigers scored their second TD with 28 seconds left in the period; Gage Sturgill connected with Vincent Rozzi on a 47-yard reception. Hillen again made the extra-point kick.
Strugill finished the game 8-of-23 with 127 yards, with Rozzi making four of those catches for 95 yards. Emmanuel Cowherd led the tackles with seven.
Fishers is 2-1 in conference play and 3-2 overall. The Tigers return home this Friday to play Avon in an HCC contest.
